Review of Gorge
"a bit laggy, but excellent gameplay"

As the name implies, Gorge pits the humans vs the spiders over a water filled Gorge, with a long bridge stretching over it. There are some nice waterfall effects and a way up to the humans side from the water.
Gameplay on this map is quite good, although the bridge can get hectic and laggy sometimes. The spiders base is dark and well designed, the humans have two entrances with two turrets on each by default. There are some nice stacking spots in both bases, in particular the humans have some high areas near their entrance to the bridge, which can make for good turret placements.
On the spiders' side of the bridge is a large hollow mound, with glowing blue rocks inside. This makes quite a nice hiding area for healers. Both entrances to the spiders' base are dark and have multiple spikers and obstacles. Both sides's defences at the start are adequate.
Overall I like this map, the nice textures and lighting throughout make it stand out. It's just a shame about the massive open areas which induce some lag on slower connection, but apart from that this map is good.

Comment: The textures on this map are great. No obvious mis-alignments and well chosen to fit the scene.
Comment: With only the bridge to get from base to base, gameplay can get a bit campy and result in a deadlock sometimes. The large open expanses can also cause some lag, especially in the bridge area.
Comment: Gorge's are creative, I guess :) - This map had an unusual layout, well I liked it at least.
